Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients visiting for routine lab work or important health-related decisions.
- In this role, you’ll collect blood specimens safely and accurately, prepare them for lab testing, and ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw blood samples (venipuncture, capillary) from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Prepare and label specimens accurately according to standard procedures.
- Verify patient identity and ensure documentation is complete.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and supervisors.
- Travel to different locations as needed (requires valid driver’s license and clean record).
- Follow all company policies, including dress code and safety standards.
- Demonstrate leadership, customer service, and confidentiality.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- 2+ years working in a Patient Service Center preferred.
- Experience in retail or customer service settings is a plus.
- Proficient in data entry and keyboard use.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong phlebotomy and specimen processing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced workload.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations.
