Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric).
  • Explain procedures and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following proper procedures.
  • Provide coverage at multiple locations across varying environments (PSC, IOP, Mobile, LTC, etc.).
  • Lead on-site activities as needed, supervising one or more Phlebotomists.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide onboarding for new employees and clients.
  • Act as the point of contact for staff on-site and report to the group lead or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Lab Testing, IT, Billing, Logistics) for complex orders.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic training) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
