Summary:
The PSR II serves as the front-line representative for patients, responsible for collecting quality blood samples and ensuring accurate specimen processing. This role builds trust through professional, compassionate care while maintaining confidentiality and efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established protocols.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling.
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to patients.
- Maintain documentation and uphold safety and quality standards.
- Support multiple locations as needed with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere).
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record (if applicable).
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
