Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing a professional, patient-focused experience.
- This role requires accuracy, strong phlebotomy skills, and the ability to build trust with patients while ensuring safety and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Prepare and process specimens following standard procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment
- Provide excellent customer service and patient care
- Follow all compliance, safety, and confidentiality guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Phlebotomy experience (minimum 6 months; 1+ year preferred)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in some states)
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility for weekends/holidays/overtime if needed
Preferred Skills:
- Customer service experience
- Strong communication and attention to detail
