Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the front-line representative of our organization, providing critical support to patients seeking routine care or undergoing essential health testing.
- The PSR II is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples and ensuring accurate specimen preparation for laboratory analysis.
- This role requires a strong blend of technical phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and exceptional patient communication.
- Successful candidates may be assigned to work in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other healthcare settings, based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood specimens from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Perform specimen verification and ensure labels match patient information in their presence.
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and create a comfortable experience.
- Ensure all specimens are collected safely and in compliance with company protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and logs.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality, error-free performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe workspace at all times.
- Travel to other locations as needed with short notice for coverage.
- Uphold the company’s standards for confidentiality, safety, dress code, and customer service.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive company image.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (Required)
- At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)
