Job Description

Job Summary:

  • As a Phlebotomist Floater (Patient Services Representative III) , you will be a critical part of the frontline team, serving as the face of our organization to patients across multiple locations.
  • This role requires skilled blood collection, a compassionate patient approach, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • You will float between assigned locations within a 150–200 mile radius and are expected to uphold high standards of service, compliance, and care across all patient encounters.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, error-free blood collection services following all established safety and procedural protocols.
  • Maintain professionalism and adapt quickly to different clinical or office environments.
  • Establish trust and confidence with patients through clear communication and a supportive demeanor.
  • Accurately verify and document patient demographics and specimen labeling at the time of collection.
  • Maintain confidentiality and Product sensitive patient information at all times.
  • Travel daily to designated collection sites, sometimes on short notice, and arrive punctually to each location.
  • Support process improvements and uphold company principles in all patient and team interactions.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center or similar healthcare setting preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or healthcare environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • High proficiency in phlebotomy across diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in high-volume, fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Reliable personal transportation (rideshare and public transit not acceptable for this role).
  • Must be able to travel up to 200 miles and adhere to varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to work overtime, on-call, and cover last-minute staffing needs.
  • Adherence to all company policies, dress code, and attendance standards.
