Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Tallmadge, OH.
  • As a Patient Services Representative I (PSR I), you will serve as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while performing specimen collection and processing duties.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collection procedures using established phlebotomy techniques and protocols.
  • Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient information and maintain specimen integrity throughout the collection process.
  • Explain collection procedures to patients and help create a comfortable, trusting environment.
  • Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information while ensuring confidentiality.
    Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times.
  • Work independently while managing daily responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
  • Support organizational goals by exhibiting leadership behaviors and a commitment to process excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.Certification is required for candidates working in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Experience drawing blood from pediatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
