Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the company with professionalism and care.
- This role involves collecting quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, accurate, and patient-focused experience.
- The PSR I fosters trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing phlebotomy in a skilled, safe, and efficient manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
- Deliver excellent patient care while promoting trust and confidence.
- Demonstrate organizational values and maintain a positive image with patients, clients, and the public.
- Exhibit leadership behaviors and commitment to process excellence.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience required.
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
- Strong keyboarding and data entry skills required.
