Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the company with professionalism and care.
  • This role involves collecting quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, accurate, and patient-focused experience.
  • The PSR I fosters trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing phlebotomy in a skilled, safe, and efficient manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the supervision of the area supervisor.
  • Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
  • Deliver excellent patient care while promoting trust and confidence.
  • Demonstrate organizational values and maintain a positive image with patients, clients, and the public.
  • Exhibit leadership behaviors and commitment to process excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience required.
  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills required.
