Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative plays a key role in patient care, performing blood specimen collection and processing for lab testing while adhering to safety, confidentiality, and procedural guidelines.
- The PSR ensures a positive patient experience by clearly explaining procedures and providing skillful, accurate, and safe blood draws.
- This position may require flexibility, including weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
- Verify patient information and specimen labeling for accuracy.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Accurately document patient information and maintain required records.
- Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and process excellence.
- Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Phlebotomy certification required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy Certification required.
