Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, providing direct patient interaction during routine visits or for more complex, life-defining diagnostic decisions.
- The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.
- This role demands a high level of expertise, professionalism, and patient care.
- PSR II professionals may work in various settings including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in a safe and accurate manner.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following proper protocols.
- Explain procedures to patients to foster an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
- Perform patient identity verification and obtain post-venipuncture initials/signature to confirm correct specimen labeling.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection confidently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate documentation and specimen tracking records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Follow all policies and procedures including those related to dress code, safety, and compliance.
- Adapt to working in various locations with minimal notice as required.
- Support the business by being flexible with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime work.
- Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors and strong organizational commitment.
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and patients to ensure excellent service delivery.

Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver accurate, quality work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Must possess superior customer service focus and clear, transparent communication skills.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record (if applicable).
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites and adapt to flexible scheduling.
- Commitment to the company’s policies, including health and safety standards and everyday excellence principles.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Additional Details:

- Must be able to make sound decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
