Job Description

Job Summary:

The PSR II is the frontline representative for patients, responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient service, and attention to detail, with assignments at various locations including doctor’s offices and patient service centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform safe and accurate venipuncture for all age groups.
• Verify and label patient samples correctly.
• Maintain records and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Support multiple locations with minimal notice.
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
• Uphold safety and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere).
• 3+ years of phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, capillary).
• 2+ years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
• Reliable personal transportation (rideshare/bus not acceptable).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, customer service, and data entry skills.

Additional Notes:

• Must be flexible for weekends, holidays, overtime, or last-minute changes.
• Training locations may vary.
• Excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in termination.
• Rate based on direct, verifiable experience only.
