Job Summary:
- The PSR II is the frontline representative for patients, responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing.
- This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient service, and attention to detail, with assignments at various locations including doctor’s offices and patient service centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform safe and accurate venipuncture for all age groups.
- Verify and label patient samples correctly.
- Maintain records and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Support multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
- Uphold safety and compliance standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere).
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, capillary).
- 2+ years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
- Reliable personal transportation (rideshare/bus not acceptable).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, customer service, and data entry skills.
