Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The PSR I interacts directly with patients, ensuring a positive experience while collecting and preparing blood samples for lab testing.
  • The role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric care, and adherence to established procedures.
  • The PSR I fosters trust with patients, explains procedures, and ensures accuracy and confidentiality in handling patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood specimen collection and processing accurately and safely.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Provide exceptional service to patients, clients, and staff.
  • Ensure a safe and professional work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric and geriatric).
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant/paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA).
  • 6+ months of experience required; 1+ year preferred.
  • Customer service and data entry experience a must.
