Job Summary:
- The PSR I interacts directly with patients, ensuring a positive experience while collecting and preparing blood samples for lab testing.
- The role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric care, and adherence to established procedures.
- The PSR I fosters trust with patients, explains procedures, and ensures accuracy and confidentiality in handling patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood specimen collection and processing accurately and safely.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Provide exceptional service to patients, clients, and staff.
- Ensure a safe and professional work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric and geriatric).
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant/paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA).
- 6+ months of experience required; 1+ year preferred.
- Customer service and data entry experience a must.
