Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- This role requires direct patient interaction, professionalism, and the ability to create a comfortable and trusting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection following established procedures.
- Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for testing.
- Maintain required documentation and records.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and clients.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Demonstrate reliability, leadership behaviors, and organizational commitment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Minimum 6 months direct phlebotomy experience (Required).
- 1+ year phlebotomy experience (Preferred).
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, WA; Preferred in FL).
- Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability including weekends and potential overtime.
Additional Requirements:
- Must live within 20–25 minutes of the worksite (include home city/commute time on resume).
- Rate based on years of direct phlebotomy experience (overlapping roles do not count twice).
- Reliable personal transportation required (no bus/Uber/rideshare).
- Must be punctual, dependable, and available for full scheduled shifts.
- Excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination.
- If currently a student, schedule must not conflict with assigned shifts.
