Position Overview:
- The ENTRY Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the “face of the company,” providing a welcoming, compassionate, and professional experience for patients.
- This is a front-of-house role that focuses heavily on customer service while offering structured training in phlebotomy for career growth within the organization.
- This position is ideal for candidates with strong customer service experience who are eager to enter the healthcare field and learn phlebotomy skills.
Core Responsibilities:
- Front Desk / Lobby SupportGreet patients warmly and assist with check-in via kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Answer patient questions with care and compassion.
- Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Phlebotomy Training & Support Willingness to learn and perform phlebotomy during downtime or when covering breaks.
- Once trained, perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
- Demonstrate confidence, professionalism, and patient-centered care during collections.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
Experience:
- 1–2 years of client-facing customer service experience (REQUIRED) (Retail, hospitality, home health aide, front desk, etc.).
- Keyboard and data entry experience REQUIRED.
- Prior phlebotomy experience NOT required.
Critical Skills:
- High-level customer service skills (MANDATORY).
