Position Overview:

  • The ENTRY Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the “face of the company,” providing a welcoming, compassionate, and professional experience for patients.
  • This is a front-of-house role that focuses heavily on customer service while offering structured training in phlebotomy for career growth within the organization.
  • This position is ideal for candidates with strong customer service experience who are eager to enter the healthcare field and learn phlebotomy skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk / Lobby SupportGreet patients warmly and assist with check-in via kiosk or handheld tablet.
  • Answer patient questions with care and compassion.
  • Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Phlebotomy Training & Support Willingness to learn and perform phlebotomy during downtime or when covering breaks.
  • Once trained, perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
  • Demonstrate confidence, professionalism, and patient-centered care during collections.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of client-facing customer service experience (REQUIRED) (Retail, hospitality, home health aide, front desk, etc.).
  • Keyboard and data entry experience REQUIRED.
  • Prior phlebotomy experience NOT required.

Critical Skills:

  • High-level customer service skills (MANDATORY).
  • Compassionate patient interaction.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn phlebotomy.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
