Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing a professional, patient-focused experience.
- This role requires accuracy, strong phlebotomy skills, and the ability to build trust with patients while ensuring safety and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients).
- Prepare and process specimens following standard procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and patient care.
- Follow all compliance, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Phlebotomy experience (minimum 6 months; 1+ year preferred).
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in some states).
- Strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility for weekends/holidays/overtime if needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Customer service experience.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
