Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, welcoming patients for routine health visits or life-defining medical decisions.
  • The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring all procedures follow established practices.
  • This role requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients while performing phlebotomy skillfully, safely, and accurately.
  • The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to confidentiality while maintaining accuracy in all patient information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
  • Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.
  • Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
  • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements:

  • Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 months of work experience; 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
