Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing excellent patient care. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring a safe, accurate, and professional experience while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collection (venipuncture and capillary) on patients of all ages
- Prepare and process specimens following established procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Deliver excellent customer service and build patient confidence
- Follow all compliance, safety, and quality standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification (CT required)
- 6+ months experience (1+ year preferred)
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients preferred
- Strong data entry and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability (weekends, holidays, overtime as needed)
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical assistant or paramedic training
Prior experience in clinical or retail service settings
