Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking healthcare services, either for routine care or critical health decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skilful, safe, and accurate manner.
- The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviours while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor’s office, a patient service centre or as business needs dictate.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of Phlebotomy experience is required.
- One year or more of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
