Job Description

Education / Training Requirements:

• Candidates must meet at least one of the following:
• Graduated from a postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by:
• CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) OR ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools).
• Completed Medical Assistant training through any branch of the armed forces.
• Hold a Medical Assistant certification from an organization accredited by:
• National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) OR American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
• Arizona (Client) Medical Assistant Requirement.

Must meet one of the following:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program.
• OR Military Medical Assistant training completed OR Certified Medical Assistant from an approved accrediting body (Must also have completed a Medical Assistant training program).
• Accepted Certifications (Active or Previously Active).
• AMCA – American Medical Certification Association.
• AMT – American Medical Technologists.
• AAMA – American Association of Medical Assistants.
• NHA – National Health career Association.
• NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of autonomous venipuncture experience (School/externship experience not considered).
• Must be comfortable with blood draws as the primary job responsibility.

Additional Notes:

• National Certified Phlebotomist (Phlebotomy) candidates will be considered.
