Job Description
Roles and responsibilities:
- Room and vital patients, provide patient care basics, able to manage medical task, can collaborate with others, and partners with clinicians to create positive outcomes.
- Perform and assist with extended Product duties such as, but not limited to non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs, point of care testing
Requirements:
- Personable, accepts feedback and implements direction from leadership, and promotes teamwork.
1 year recent phlebotomy experience required. - Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
- Completed relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces.
- Possess a Medical Assistant certification issued by a certifying organization accredited by either the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute (candidate must also have completed a medical assistant training program).
Certification:
1. Need active or previously active Medical Assistant certification from one of these organizations:
- AMCA- American Medical Certification Association OR AMT -American Medical Technologists.
- AAMA- American Association of Medical Assistants OR NHA- National Healthcareer Association.
- NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing.
