Job Summary:
- Under general supervision, performs routine laboratory activities including patient registration, venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and related laboratory support functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Process and transport specimens to the main laboratory.
- Complete laboratory documentation and data entry.
- Support clinic and laboratory operations as needed.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Preferred Education:
- Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program preferred.
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver’s license and the ability to be insured by a Client Insurance Carrier.
Preferred Certification & Licensure:
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training/certification.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of phlebotomy experience.
- Experience with straight needles.
- Ability to draw 20–25 tubes in a single sitting.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Basic computer skills.
Interview: In-person (30 minutes).
