Job Summary:
- Phlebotomist I serves as the first point of contact for patients at the Patient Service Center, providing excellent customer service while performing blood draws and specimen collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients with check-in and appointments.
- Collect blood and clinical/forensic specimens accurately and safely.
- Verify patient information and properly label specimens.
- Prepare and process specimens for lab testing.
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Ensure accurate documentation and records.
- Deliver high-quality customer service.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states).
Skills:
- Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric & geriatric).
- Data entry and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong customer service skills.
Preferred:
- Medical assistant or paramedic training.
- 6+ months phlebotomy experience.
- Retail or customer service background.
